Portrait Photography Tips:
1. hold camera very still or use tripod
2. know how to use the manual focus or auto focus on your camera
3. focus on someones eyes, it softens skin
4.KISS: keep it simple silly! (narrow depth of field, non cluttered background)
5. get up close
-show a part of the body
6. alter perspective (different angles)
7. experiment with lighting
-side lighting (one side lit, one side shadowed
-back lighting (silhouette)
*golden hour: hour before sunset, hour after sunrise
- do not shoot into the sun (no squinting)
- shoot photos in shady area on sunny day
-play around with color lights
